Upper Clearwater/Ram Forest Land Use Zone

The Upper Clearwater/Ram FLUZ was established in June 1985 (modified in October 2002) and covers and area of 1,907 km². This FLUZ provides year-round access for non-motorized and equestrian use. There are also designated seasonal access trails for OHVs. Access to some areas requires the written permission of a Forest Officer.

Camping Must be a least 100 metre from a lakeshore.

OHV

Only OHVs with a max. weight of 590 kg (1,300 lbs), max. tire pressure of 110 kPa (16psi), a mex. Wheel base of 185 cm and a max. width of 178 cm are permitted.

On designated trails only

On-highway motorcycles are permitted.

Onion Creek Trail, Hummingbird Creek Trail, and Canary Creek Trail are open July 1 to March 15 (inlcuisve)

Ranger Creek Trail, Clearwater Trail, and Skeleton Creek Trail are open Dec 1 to March 15 (inlcuisve)

Access to Scalp Creek Trail requires written permission from a Forest Officer.


Equestrian

Horse grazing or tethering must be at least 100 metres from a lakeshore.

Equestrian users may be required to provide their own feed.

Helicopters are not permitted to land on a lake or within 200 metres of the lakeshore.

No MotorBoat

Motorized boats are not permitted.
