About Us

The SRD PIEOP Centre is a repository for current department publications and is the initial contact point for most correspondence from the public, other government departments and industry. Stakeholder inquiries come into the PIEOP Centre via telephone, mail, e-mail, fax and walk-in traffic.

  Interesting facts

 Between April 1, 2007, and March 31, 2008, the PIEOP Centre handled numerous requests:

• fielded more than 9699 inquiries
• mailed out more than 2401 packages containing anywhere from one to several hundred documents each
• sold more than 859 firewood, transplant and Christmas tree permits
• answered 717 hunting and fishing regulation inquiries
