Provincial Integrated Forest Pest Management Forum

Last Review/Updated: February 9, 2007

In 1997, the Department (now called Alberta Sustainable Resource Development) initiated a Provincial Integrated Pest Management Committee. The Committee voting membership was composed of provincial government and forest industry representatives from each of the Regional Working Groups; the Alberta Forest Products Association; Alberta Sustainable Resource Development; and Canadian Forest Service. The committee meetings were open to any individual who was interested in forest health.

In 2002, the voting members decided to change the format from a committee structure to an information forum. The forum is held annually and is open to any organization or individual with an interest in forest health issues of Alberta.
