Forest and Lands Management Training
Our products and services include:
- Training external clients in the use of Alberta Vegetation Inventory (AVI), as well as training and certification testing of Timber Scaling and Regeneration Survey Training.
- Delivery of “Train the trainer” programs for the Timber Scaling and Regeneration Surveyor outsourcing training program.
- Database administration for certification programs listed in point #1.
- Internal training of Departmental staff in Forest, Land (includes Range) Management Programs.
- Collaborative training development with third parties and accredited institutions such as the University of Alberta (Forestry Commons Distance Based Learning Website), Research organizations, ENFORM, etc.
Please note that most of the Forest and Lands Management training courses are open only to department staff. Courses are filled on a first come/first served registration process and staff must have approval from their managers.
