Located in Hinton, Alberta, 290 km (180 mi.) west of Edmonton, the Hinton Training Centre is situated in the heart of Alberta’s timber country. Jasper National Park, Canada’s largest Rocky Mountain park is a short driving distance away.
	Driving Directions From Hwy 16 (Yellowhead Hwy) at Hinton turn south onto Switzer Drive. Follow it up to the top of the hill and turn left at the lights. For student parking turn left, and for access to other campus buildings turn right.

The Town of Hinton

Commonly referred to as the "Gateway to the Rockies" and located just 15 minutes from Jasper National Park, Hinton offers a wide variety of services to visitors. There are many motels and hotels to choose from, some offering pools, night clubs, pubs and restaurant facilities. Hinton's own recreation complex houses two indoor ice arenas, indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi, racquetball and squash courts, public library and cafeteria. An abundance of other recreational facilities include tennis courts, curling rinks, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, golf course and campgrounds. For the shopper, there are a number of malls, shopping centres and outlets from which to choose. Overall, Hinton is a community that has something for everyone.
