Watchable Wildlife Intrepretive Signs
Last Review/Updated: May 31, 2002
If you are developing a wildlife viewing site in Alberta, a selection of interpretive signs describing various wildlife species, signs and phenomenon are available from Alberta Sustainable Resource Development's Information Centre for a $2.75 fee (telephone: 1-877-944-0313). The signs are made of a durable polyethylene (2.0 mm thick) with outside dimensions of 25.4 x 35.6 cm (10 x 14 in.).
These signs are no longer being produced by the Alberta Government. If the sign you desire is not available at the above centre, you can download the graphic file for the sign here and have a local sign shop make the sign for you.
The graphic files listed through the following links are 600 dpi compressed TIF (Tag Image Format) files that are each approximately 0.5 Mb or larger in size. They are about 6.0 Mb when uncompressed.
Downloading Files
TIF files are not web compatible. However, they are compatible with most graphic software packages. Therefore, when you click on one of the file links accessed through the following category pages, the graphic will not be loaded and displayed in a web page. Instead, you will be presented with the option of opening the file with your resident graphics program (if you have one) or downloading the file directly into a directory (folder) of your choice.
Graphic Files
The links to the graphic files are divided as follows:
