Fish Management Zones
Last Update/Review: August 6, 2002
Alberta is divided into three Fish Management Zones. Each zone has its own unique assemblage of water bodies, species of game fish and management regimes. To learn about a zone and the fish species available, click on a region in the map or a number from the list to the right of the map.

National Parks
Although fishing is allowed in many national parks, Alberta Sportfishing Licences are not valid in Alberta national parks. If you wish to fish one of Alberta's five national parks, check the fishing regulations for each park available through Parks Canada's National Parks page.

The above map is presented as a guide to the location of Alberta's Fish Management Zones. For a more detailed map, see a copy of the current Alberta Guide to Sportfishing Regulations.
