Welcome to the Identification of Alberta's Salmonid Sportfish section. To your left are silhouettes of nine different salmonid sport fish. Click one to start learning about the key features of Alberta's most common salmonid species. You can then continue learning about each fish by clicking the side bar buttons or the arrows within the fish illustrations (illustrations by Karl Geist).
Alternatively, you can learn to distinguish salmonid sport fish by going to the Key to the Identification of Salmonid Sportfish. The key is opened in a separate window so that you can refer to it from any section of the site.
