Update Policeman’s Flats Boat Launch - latest developments
A summary of work that has been completed on the repair/replacement of Policeman’s Flats boat launch will be held on January 9, 2007 at the Environmental Learning Center in Fish Creek Park.
After the June flood of 2005, we have contracted Bel-MK Consultants to provide a comprehensive review of alternate site locations, including the advantages and disadvantages of each. With the completed review, we have explored options to relocate this boat launch to a new suitable location, however very few locations exist.
Our intent is to partner with a multi-stakeholder group and explore options of re-establishing this boat launch in a suitable fashion that will withstand future flooding events. For more details, please join us at the open house, held on January 9, 2007.
