About Us - Alberta Sustainable Resource Development
Albertans across the province enjoy a great abundance of natural resources. Sustainable Resource Development (SRD) works with Albertans across the province to ensure a balance between the economic, environmental and social values of our province. We fight forest fires, manage fish and wildlife, oversee the development of Alberta's forests, and manage the use of public lands.
Alberta Sustainable Resource Development’s Vision:
Alberta's lands, forests, fish and wildlife benefit present and future Albertans.
Our Mission:
Sustainable Resource Development encourages balanced and responsible use of Alberta's natural resources through the application of leading practices in management, science, and stewardship.
